Pancake Day is nearly h

As Pancake Day is this Tuesday I thought I’d like to share with you all the recipe which I use to make delicious crepe style pancakes. It comes from the BBC Good Food site. These pancakes are very easy to whip up and taste yummy with any added extra you may wish to add. I will leave a few ideas down below for you all.

(Makes approx 12)

  • 100g Plain Flour

  • 300mls Milk

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1tbsp sunflower/virgin olive oil

  • Pinch of Salt

  1. Place the flour and pinch of salt into a bowl. Form a well in the middle.

  2. Crack the eggs along with 50mls of milk and the oil into the centre. Whisk until you have a smooth batter. Add a little more milk if the batter becomes too stiff.

  1. Whilst whisking slowly add the remaining milk until you have a consistency of thick single cream.

  1. Heat a frying pan over a moderate heat and wipe with a little oil. Ladle in some batter and swirl the pan round until covered. Pour any remaining batter back into the jug. The pancake should turn golden underneath in about 30 seconds.

  1. Now the fun part. Your pancake is ready to flip onto its other side. Allow to cook for a further 30 seconds then slide onto a plate ready for filling with whatever you like.

  1. Decorate and enjoy

  • Sugar and Lemon juice

  • Greek yoghurt, berries and honey

  • Cherries and Ice cream

  • Nutella

  • Chocolate, peanut butter and banana

  • Blackforest – cherries, cream and chocolate

I hope you all have a great time making pancakes with your loved ones this week. Please leave me a comment down below letting me know what flavour combinations you all created.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a recipe for American Style Pancakes for anyone who prefers the slightly thicker sort of pancake.
